HOW TO WASH YOUR KÅNKEN

NEVER put your Kånken in the washing machine – Instead, wash any dirty marks with a mild derergent, lukewarm water and a soft brush or sponge. To dry your Kånken, hang it up in a well-ventilated area that is not exposed to direct sunlight.

To get the vibrant colours Kånken are known for, Fjällräven use a special dying technique. This means that there’s a slight chance the colour can rub off on your clothes – particularly on light coloured clothing. To prevent this from occurring, it is recommended that you rinse your Kånken in lukewarm water before you use it.

KÅNKEN STORAGE TIPS

Don’t overfill your Kånken

There is a wide range of different Kånken sizes available on MyFoxBag, so if you want to stuff it full of essentials it is recommended that you get a bigger size. The Kånken Classic backpack has a 16-litre volume, and although we don’t have an official max weight-load, we would advise to keep it to just a few kilos.

Don’t put a laptop in a regular Kånken

The back pocket is made for folders, note pads, perhaps a tablet computer, but not a laptop. This puts too much strain on the straps and zips. Luckily enough, Fjällräven created the Kånken Laptop to combat this problem. With three Kånken Laptop sizes to choose from, you can find one to easily fit your needs.

GENERAL MAINTENANCE

Zips

If you get something stuck in Kånken’s zips, avoid yanking it free. Instead, use a little bit of oil or clear lip balm to loosen the zip. Then gently try opening and closing it.

Rips / Tears

If tears appear, fix them straight away. The longer you leave them, the bigger they’ll get and then they’ll be almost impossible to repair.

Sunlight

Finally, make sure not to leave Kånken in direct sunlight if you want it to retain its bold colours. Kånken prefers shade or low-level sunshine.
