Straight backs are happy backs! Kånken was created as far back as 1978 to help prevent back problems among Swedish school children and quickly became a common sight at preschools and nature schools throughout the country. Today, 35 years later, Kånken has straightened millions of backs across the globe and has become one of Fjällräven’s most beloved products. This classic backpack is equally suited to journeys to and from school or work, as it is to trekking and travelling. The material is hard-wearing, lightweight Vinylon F fabric that is able to withstand dirt and wetness. The spacious main compartment has a large opening with a zip, which makes it easy to pack and unpack. It has two flat side pockets and a zipped pocket on the front, perfect for those bits and bobs that you want to keep close at hand. The included PE foam seat cushion is stored in the interior back pocket where it prevents the contents of the backpack from poking against your back – and is always within reach for when you need to take a break and sit down, wherever you may be. The carrying system is simple but practical and consists of handles at the top and slender, adjustable shoulder straps. The logo on the front is reflective. It also has an address label inside the main compartment.

We have been advised by Poste Italiane that severe delays are being experienced in processing postal items due to serious IT problems in Italian customs. This is affecting all postal shipments from outside the EU.
Although we are continuing to ship items to Italy at the moment, due to these technical issues being experienced once they arrive, they currently face delays of at least several weeks before being processed by customs and delivered by Poste Italiane. They have so far been unable to give us a date when these issues will be resolved. From this point onwards all shipments to Italy we will send with FedEx International Connect Plus (3-5 working days) unless otherwise specified as Express shipments.

Please note: We cannot ship Express to Russia. Shipping will be the standard Royal Mail service only. All Shipping times are estimates and can vary from country to country based on customs clearance.
Customs & Import Tax
Please be advised that for countries outside the EU, as well as the Canary Islands, there may be taxes, fees or other charges that you will be expected to pay. We recommend that you check with your local customs office before placing an order as these charges vary from country to country. We do not have any control over these charges and do not hold current duty rates on file.
If these local import and custom charges are refused or not paid by you, then the item could be returned to My Fox Bag or destroyed. If your order is not returned to us in these circumstances, we may not be able to refund you for your order. We would not be able to refund any original postage costs paid and can only refund for the returned products minus any costs incurred in returning them to My Fox Bag.

- If an item is out of stock, we will inform you immediately about delivery time.
- All customers are supplied with order tracking details via email.
Orders are normally dispatched within 1 working day, and an email with tracking details will be sent automatically when dispatched. Please check your spam if you do not receive an email.
You can track your order on the Royal Mail’s Track and Trace website, FedEx or DHL website. Please note that if an international order tracking displays the message ‘Leaving the UK’, the parcel will be in customs and as soon as it is released, you will be able to once again monitor the progress of your order. We estimate that international orders can take up to 14 working days. It can be much quicker, but occasionally may take longer. This is normally down to customs clearance and is unfortunately outside of our control, although we do apply the necessary customs labels to facilitate clearance as quickly as possible.
Items that cannot be delivered will generally be taken to your local collection office. If these are not collected within approximately 14 days, they will be automatically returned to My Fox Bag, and a re-shipping charge will be levied for subsequent postage.
Customers OUTSIDE THE EU AND UK will automatically save at the checkout (after shipping location is applied) on the price of the goods as sales taxes are automatically deducted. This will be a saving of approx. 16.67% on the list price.
Refunds must be received back within 14 days of receipt by the customer. Refunds are generally processed within 7 days after we receive the returned items. Credit notes will be issued for goods received after 14 days of receipt by the customer (up to 28 days) which will be valid for 12 months from the date issued. Please ensure all items to be returned are in a re-saleable condition, in original undamaged packaging with all labels attached, and have not been worn or otherwise used. A carriage charge deduction of £4 (UK) £8.00 (Europe) £10.00 (Rest of World) will be made in the case of non-faulty items.
You are welcome to send your products back for an exchange within 14 days of receipt by the customer. Please ensure all items to be returned are in a re-saleable condition, in original undamaged packaging with all labels attached, and have not been worn or otherwise used. Please include your original invoice with indication of the product you would like to exchange for. There will be a standard shipping charge for re-deliveries of exchanges.
If an item arrives faulty or incorrect you must contact us by email or the contact form within 48 hours of receipt. The incorrect or faulty item must then be returned to us within 14 days of this notification.
If goods returned to us are deemed faulty, incorrect or damaged after inspection, you will receive either a full refund, repair or replacement, plus reimbursement for the return delivery charge when postage receipt is provided (up to a maximum of £10). Please note if the items is deemed not faulty or incorrect, the customer is responsible for all postage costs.
After 28 days you may return any item for inspection if you believe it to be faulty, and we may either repair, replace or refund at our discretion if the item is deemed defective after inspection. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org prior to returning goods. Please note if the item is deemed not faulty the customer is responsible for all postage costs.
When posting your item(s) back to us, it is strongly recommended you obtain proof of postage and tracking details. Please ensure that items are well packaged, and are marked clearly as ‘RETURNS’ on any customs label, address label or documentation. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT RETURNS WITH INCORRECT CUSTOMS PAPERWORK AND DECLARATIONS. Please include a copy of your invoice.

All gifts purchased after the 31st of October 2021 now qualify for our extended Christmas return policy. Orders have until the 9th of January 2022 for returned items to be received at our head office.
